You're Tired of Physical Therapy That Doesn't Work

Traditional PT clinics rush you through 20-minute sessions with cookie-cutter exercises. You're frustrated, still in pain, and not getting back to your sport. Sound familiar?

Still in Pain After Weeks of PT

You've been doing the same basic exercises for weeks with minimal progress. Your pain hasn't improved, and you're no closer to returning to your sport.

Generic Programs That Don't Fit Your Goals

You're an athlete with high-level goals, but you're getting the same treatment as everyone else — no customization, no sport-specific training.

Minimal Time with the Actual Therapist

You spend most of your sessions with aides or techs, not a Doctor of Physical Therapy. You deserve expert guidance at every step.

Built-6-1

Bulletproof Physical Therapy — Built for Athletes, by Athletes

We don't use the same low-level, cookie-cutter exercises prescribed by most PT clinics. At Bulletproof, every session is 1-on-1 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy who understands the demands of your sport. We combine manual therapy, functional dry needling, movement analysis, and sport-specific strength training to help you recover faster and perform better than before your injury.

  • ✓ 1-on-1 sessions with a Doctor of Physical Therapy — no aides or techs
  • ✓ Custom exercise programs emailed to you after each session
  • ✓ Access to your doctor between sessions for questions and guidance
  • ✓ Less frequent visits — most clients come in every 1-2 weeks, not multiple times per week

"I was treated at Bulletproof to recover post ACL surgery. My goal was to recover fully and be able to play the sports I used to play. I chose Bulletproof because they looked legit and they sure were. Hands down the best physio clinic I've used in over 30 years of managing my sports injury around the world. Everything about this practice is professionalism and care at the highest level. They know their stuff, they have the right equipment and space, and they are passionate about what they do. Steven my PT was brilliant — every session was fully prepared and delivered with clear analysis and instructions, so I made progress with every interaction. I am now not only fully recovered but stronger than before!"

"In 2023, I underwent double hip replacement surgery, which prevented me from playing golf or maintaining the active lifestyle I enjoyed at 44. I chose Bulletproof Physical Therapy, led by Tyler Humphrey, over traditional hospital-affiliated programs because of their focus on restoring and enhancing performance for sports-specific activities like golf. Thanks to Tyler's expertise, my conditioning has significantly improved, allowing me to play the back nine without fatigue. I highly recommend Bulletproof PT for anyone looking to return to their sport stronger and more capable than before."

"Before visiting BulletProof, I had been experiencing pain in my right shoulder for several months. I go to a Crossfit gym five times per week, and due to the pain in my shoulder, I was unable to hang from a bar or do snatches, thrusters, pull-ups, push-ups, and other movements. I met with Tyler and Paige, and after assessing my movement, they showed me several exercises to do. After just two sessions and doing my 'homework,' I was able to do a number of movements pain free that I hadn't been able to do for quite some time."

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions About Sports Physical Therapy in Houston

Have questions about how we work? Here are answers to the most common questions we receive from athletes and active individuals in Houston.

What makes Bulletproof Physical Therapy different from traditional PT clinics?

At Bulletproof Physical Therapy, every session is 1-on-1 with a Doctor of Physical Therapy — no techs or aides. We specialize in sports rehab and performance optimization, not just symptom relief. Our cash-based model allows us to spend more time with you (sessions are typically 45-60 minutes) and create truly customized treatment plans. You'll receive a personalized exercise program emailed to you after each session, and you'll have direct access to your doctor between visits for questions and guidance.

Do you accept insurance?

Bulletproof Physical Therapy operates on a cash-based model, which means we don't accept insurance. However, this allows us to provide higher-quality care without insurance restrictions. Many of our clients use HSA/FSA funds to cover sessions, and we can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Our focus is on getting you results faster with fewer visits overall.

How often will I need to come in for sessions?

Unlike traditional PT clinics that require multiple visits per week, most Bulletproof clients come in every 1-2 weeks. This approach works because we provide comprehensive treatment during each session and give you a detailed home exercise program to follow between visits. The frequency depends on your specific condition and goals, but our model is designed to respect your time while delivering exceptional results

Can you help with ACL recovery and return to sport?

We use evidence-based protocols to ensure you progress through each phase of recovery safely. Our approach includes strength testing, movement screening, and sport-specific training to prepare you for a confident return to your sport. We don't rush the process — we make sure you're truly ready.
