Neck Pain Shouldn't Stop You From Living Your Life

You're active, driven, and refuse to slow down—but persistent neck pain is getting in the way.

Generic PT Isn't Cutting It

You've tried cookie-cutter approaches with assistants and double-booked sessions. The pain keeps coming back because no one addressed the real problem.

Missing Out on What You Love

Whether it's CrossFit, running, lifting, or just playing with your kids, neck pain is forcing you to sit on the sidelines instead of staying in the game.

Temporary Relief, Lasting Frustration

Stretches and ice packs offer short-term comfort, but the stiffness, headaches, and limited mobility return. You need root-cause solutions, not Band-Aids.

"I started seeing Dr. Roe in July for shoulder rehab but over 10 weeks progressed to overall core and arm/shoulder strength training and coordination. Natalie developed a home exercise program during our sessions that has given me great results. I'm stronger and I can feel the overall effect in everything I do. We're so fortunate to have you practicing in Valparaiso!"

"I would give 20 stars if I could! I started seeing Dr. Roe in July for a large herniated L5S1 disc that just was not getting better. I did 16 weeks of traditional PT. I really did not want surgery or an epidural and I had heard great things about BUILT so I reached out to them. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Roe. I have had 11 sessions and am so much stronger. I have my life back!"

"Beyond impressed. I came to Dr. Roe with ongoing back pain (about 4 months), thinking it was something I'd just have to live with. With her guidance, I'm now completely pain-free. She gave clear, easy-to-follow instructions and exercises for rehab, and they made all the difference. I went from side-stepping down the stairs to practically skipping down them!"

"As a middle-aged guy always chasing athletic goals, any injury could mean time away from the activities that bring meaning to my life. I've been working with Natalie for 3 months with the goal of bulletproofing my body. The change has been drastic, particularly in my feet, glutes, and mid/upper back. Anybody willing to put the work in will benefit greatly from her expertise."

Common Questions

Everything you need to know about getting started

1. Do you accept insurance?

BUILT Physical Therapy & Performance operates as an out-of-network provider, allowing us to offer longer, one-on-one sessions without insurance restrictions. We provide detailed receipts (superbills) you can submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many patients find the quality of care and results worth the investment.

2. How long are treatment sessions?

Each session is a full hour of one-on-one time with Dr. Natalie Roe—no assistants, no double-booking. This allows for comprehensive manual therapy, detailed movement assessment, tailored exercise prescription, and ongoing education so you understand exactly what we're doing and why.

3. What should I expect at my first visit?

Your initial evaluation includes a thorough movement assessment, discussion of your goals and activities, hands-on examination, and a customized treatment plan. We'll start hands-on treatment during your first session and provide you with exercises and strategies to begin your recovery immediately.

4. What should I wear to my appointment?

Wear comfortable athletic clothing that allows you to move freely—think gym clothes. Since we're a gym-based facility with strength equipment, athletic shoes are ideal. For neck pain treatment, a tank top or shirt that allows access to your shoulders and upper back is helpful.

5. How many sessions will I need?

Treatment length varies based on your condition, goals, and activity level. Many patients see significant improvement within 4-8 sessions. During your evaluation, Dr. Roe will provide a realistic timeline based on your specific situation. Our goal is always lasting results, not endless appointments.

6. Is neck pain physical therapy near me available in Valparaiso?

Yes! BUILT Physical Therapy & Performance is located at 3701 Murvihill Rd in Valparaiso, just minutes from downtown via US-30. We serve Valparaiso and surrounding Northwest Indiana communities including Portage, Chesterton, and Hobart. Open Monday-Friday, 7 AM–7 PM with flexible scheduling.
