Hip Pain Is Holding You Back — But It Doesn't Have To

Most people suffering from hip pain are told to rest, given generic exercises, or shuffled through 15-minute appointments that never get to the root of the problem.

You're Not Getting Answers

You've been told to "just rest it" or take anti-inflammatories — but the pain keeps coming back. Without a clear diagnosis and a targeted plan, you're spinning your wheels and losing precious training time.

Generic Care Isn't Working

Cookie-cutter PT programs treat every hip the same. If you're an active adult or athlete, you need a therapist who understands performance demands and can build a plan around your actual goals — not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

Every Day You Wait, You Fall Further Behind

Ignored hip pain doesn't stay the same — it compounds. Hip impingement, labral tears, and groin strains worsen with time. The longer you wait, the further you get from the sport, the run, or the lift that matters most to you.

"I would give 20 stars if I could! I started seeing Dr. Roe in July for a large herniated L5S1 disc that just was not getting better. I did 16 weeks of traditional PT. I really did not want surgery or an epidural and I had heard great things about BUILT so I reached out to them. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Roe. I have had 11 sessions and am so much stronger. I have my life back!"

"Beyond impressed. I came to Dr. Roe with ongoing back pain (about 4 months), thinking it was something I'd just have to live with. With her guidance, I'm now completely pain-free. She gave clear, easy-to-follow instructions and exercises for rehab, and they made all the difference. I went from side-stepping down the stairs to practically skipping down them!"

I've been working with Natalie for 3 months with the goal of bulletproofing my body. The change has been drastic, particularly in my feet, glutes, and mid/upper back. Anybody willing to put the work in will benefit greatly from her expertise."

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about hip pain physical therapy at BUILT PT in Valparaiso — before you ever make a call.

Do you accept insurance?

BUILT PT operates on a self-pay model, which means no insurance middlemen dictating your care. This is what allows us to offer full one-hour, one-on-one sessions with the same Doctor of Physical Therapy every visit — rather than the 15-minute, tech-assisted visits typical of insurance-driven clinics. Many patients find the value far exceeds what they received under traditional insurance-based PT.

How is BUILT PT different from a traditional physical therapy clinic?

At most clinics, you see a different therapist each visit, share your appointment time with multiple patients, and spend a significant portion of your session with a tech or on a machine. At BUILT PT, every session is 60 minutes of one-on-one time with Dr. Natalie Roe — a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist. You also have 24/7 text and email access to Dr. Roe between appointments.

What does a first session for hip pain look like?

Your initial session begins with a comprehensive evaluation. Dr. Roe will assess your movement patterns, strength, mobility, and the specific mechanics driving your hip pain — whether that's impingement, a labral issue, muscle imbalance, or overuse. From there, you'll co-create a personalized treatment plan built around your goals and your lifestyle.

How do I get started?

Start with our free 15-minute phone consultation. It's no-cost, no-commitment, and gives you the chance to speak directly with Dr. Roe about your hip pain and whether BUILT PT is the right fit for you. Call us at (219) 386-2424 or visit builtptp.com to schedule.

How long will it take to see results?

Every case is different, but patients consistently report meaningful improvements within the first few sessions. Because treatment is personalized, evidence-based, and delivered in full-hour sessions without interruption, progress tends to move faster than in traditional PT settings. Dr. Roe will give you clear expectations during your evaluation.

Do you only treat hip pain, or other conditions too?

While this page focuses on hip pain physical therapy in Valparaiso, BUILT PT treats a wide range of orthopedic and sports-related conditions — including knee pain, low back pain, shoulder injuries, sciatica, plantar fasciitis, ACL injuries, and more. If you're unsure whether we can help, start with a free consultation and Dr. Roe will point you in the right direction.
